The UFC Undisputed 2010. One of the best games I have played in years. Intense a graphics and great game play. UFC is of course Ultimate Fighting Championship, the premier mixed martial arts organization in the world. Here, competitors from all sorts of fighting disciplines — wrestling, boxing, jiu jitsu, and so on — come together to test their skills in the Octagon, an eight-sided mat surrounded by chain-link walls. If you want to win in the UFC, you have to be able to knock your opponent out, get him to submit, or win via the judge’s scorecard. Outside of the fingerless gloves, there are no pads.

Undisputed 2010’s controls are fairly straightforward, though jumping into a fight without first going through the game’s thorough tutorial would be ill-advised. While strikes are performed simply enough with the face buttons, nearly everything else is controlled by gesturing with the Right analog stick. Grapples, takedowns, reversals, transitions, and submissions all require some sort of Right stick movement, from a simple flick left or right to full-bore spinning. As nuanced as the analog controls may be, however, having so much tied to one stick can occasionally make matches feel like nothing more than crazed twirl-fests, complete with thumb cramps and worn-out controllers.

All in all, UFC Undisputed 2010 is a force to be reckoned with. THQ has put every other fighting game on notice as UFC Undisputed 2010 has moved into the domain of one of the best games in the genre.
