Innovation is exciting, thought provoking and fun. At the CEA Line Show in NYC we got to see the latest in technology and innovation. With so may different e- books and computers on the market today it could be a little bit overwhelming. I checked out the entourage edge which is a dual book. It has full color LCD and you can read, write and record. This is a must have for students. Forget about carrying around your heavy book bag this baby has it all. It runs android apps and has some serious power behind the system. The Edge is extremely easy to use and navigates well. This product is all in one. You can take photos, surf the web and write on books. For $539 this product is well worth it. the edge will help you in and out of class. You can pick one up at http://www.entourageedge.com/

Another interesting product that we got to test was the Parrot A.R Drone. When I was young I flew kites now things have changed. The A.R Drone is one of the coolest new innovations that are on the market today. How does it work? It is all through Wi-Fi! Thanks to its on-board Wi-Fi system, you can control the Parrot AR.Drone using an iPhone, iPod Touch, or an iPad. It was initially designed for the Apple platforms and will be also available on other platforms in the next few months. Its extremely light and is a showstopper. For the first time, a consumer product encompasses:A quadricopter made in carbon fiber and high resistance PA66 plastic, MEMS (Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems) and video processing to ensure a very intuitive piloting of a radio controlled object, Wi-Fi and video streaming for a modern interface with an iPhone or iPod touch and images processing software for augmented reality. Flying never looked cooler. Kids and grownups are going to love this new way to enjoy interactive gaming. At $299 this new the is going to fly off the shelves. You can buy the A.R Drone in September from http://ardrone.parrot.com/parrot-ar-drone/en.

3D was in full force at the CEA Line show with Sony and Vizio featuring their new products. One of the most interesting 3D that I came across was for the PSP. You don’t need glasses you just put a thin layer on the PSP and you have 3D. The best part its only $20. You can learn more at http://cubicvue.com/ .

People love interactive technology. With the launch of Microsoft Surface we saw how business can benefit from multi -touch systems. At the same time $15,000 is a lot to spend on an interactive table. Merel Technologies mTouch has solved that problem. They have created an affordable way to bring multi- touch software and hardware to the marketplace. With its patented technology they have created a new way in looking at b2b multi-touch through the the mStore. The mStore provides continued upgradability and scalability by allowing users to download fresh new applications and features into their table. The mStore also allows the mtouch to deliver further industry specific applications down the road. Whether the mTouch is for a hotel/motel, corporate lobby, restaurant, bar, or general waiting room, the mStore has an application for it. The mTouch uses LED lighting to recognize your touch inputs as well as to provide a rich clean light source for the LCD display. The mTouch LED lights last approximately 50,000 hours giving your mTouch many years of operation without maintenance. For $3,200 for the 32 inch model and $4,200 for the 42 inch business large and small can bring interactive multi -touch into their offices. You can learn more at http://www.mereltechnologies.com/ .
